BCS would like to thank everyone who took part in the Spay/Neuter Clinic this past weekend! We would especially like to thank Mrs. Yvette Rouch and BJSHS HOSA for all their work in making this possible for our community.
According to Mrs. Rouch, these three students pictured spent their Saturday morning checking in cats for the Clinic. Thank you to Jenna Payne (BJSHS graduate/Pre-Vet major Purdue), and seniors Riata Rouch and Owen Apple (soon to be nursing students).

The Academic Honor program will be held in the cafeteria on Sunday, May 7th, at 4 pm.
HOSA students will host a low-cost cat spay/neuter clinic at BJSHS on Sat., 5/6. Primary veterinary care is also available. Cats must be dropped off in a carrier in the morning and will be picked up that evening. Financial assistance is available. Feral cats are accepted!
How about joining us in a round of applause for BJSHS 7th grade student Joseph Cruz! Joseph recently took top honors in the Fortnite No-Build State Championship. He picked up his trophy Saturday at the Indiana Esports Network state championships held at Ball State University.

The Jennerjahn Most Improved Awards ceremony for grades 2-8 will occur on Wednesday, May 3rd, at 6:30 pm.

The Blackford Youth Soccer League Fall Soccer Registration for 4-14-year-olds (U6-U15) is open from May 1st to May 31st. Register to sign up on the BYSL Facebook page or the Blackford Youth Soccer page.
Prom tickets are on sale during lunch periods. The cost is $20, and students can have only one F to attend. Prom is on May 6th, from 7-10 pm, at Lake Placid. After Prom will be at the Northside Lanes from 10:30-12:30.
All home sports events & the JH softball game have been canceled tonight due to the weather.

Juniors and Seniors at BJSHS will be participating in/watching a Celebrate Sober event today. There is a crash scene reenactment taking place on the property. There will be police, fire and EMS sirens going off all morning. If the weather cooperates, Lifeline will be landing as well. Don’t be alarmed, this is a reenactment and also hopefully a deterrent to help students stay away from drinking and driving.
You, too, could be the proud owner of this sturdy picnic table, lovingly hand-crafted by the students in Mr. Rich Uggen's Advanced Manufacturing Class at BJSHS.
